01 The brief

Digitelia is a new online English school from Cancún, founded by two teachers. They teach live classes in groups of eight or fewer, across four levels from A1 to B2, for Spanish speakers who understand more English than they dare to say. They needed a brand and a website to open their doors with.

02 What we did

  1. 01

    Brand and Mascot

A wordmark, an app icon and a green speech bubble with legs. The mascot is drawn and animated in code, and it doubles as a WhatsApp sticker pack.

  2. 02

    Level Test

Sixteen of the school's own questions on a chalkboard. In about five minutes, with no sign-up, it places a student at A1, A2, B1 or B2.

  3. 03

    One-Page Enrollment

Level, plan and contact details in three steps that fold away as you finish them, with the price summary always in view.

03 The story

Most adults who sign up for English classes already know some English. What holds them back is the fear of opening their mouth and getting it wrong. Digitelia’s founders built their school around that: small live groups, teachers who answer on WhatsApp between classes, and a promise that you speak from the first class.

We gave the school a brand that feels as approachable as that promise. The wordmark is round and friendly, the palette pairs a deep green with a bright yellow, and the app icon is a D with a face in it. That face grew into the mascot, a green speech bubble with stick legs.

The mascot is drawn and animated entirely in code, with fifteen expressions. It cheers when a student gets an answer right, flinches when they miss, and walks along the top of the reviews as they slide past. If you fling the row too fast, it panics and runs. We used the same code to export a WhatsApp sticker pack, so the teachers can send it to their students.

Digitelia level test

For a lot of visitors, the level test is the first thing they try. It uses sixteen of the school’s own questions, set on a chalkboard, and needs no account. It takes about five minutes, places the student in one of four levels and sends them to that level’s page.

Digitelia levels

Enrollment fits on a single page. Students pick a level, choose to pay monthly or for the full four months, and leave their name, email and WhatsApp number. Each step folds into a one-line summary once it’s done, and the price stays beside them the whole time. Links from a level or a plan fill in the first two steps.

Digitelia enrollment

The site is in Spanish, in the same warm “tú” the teachers use in class, and every page leads to the same two actions: enroll or take the test.
